Everyone kept telling me that I could still drive a boat but I didn’t believe it. But I tried it and it was surprisingly easy!

I thought that when I had my accident I would never be able to do these types of things with my nephews ever again. Tubing with my nephews was one of the happiest moments I’ve had since the day of my crash.

I finally got over my fear of water and tried kneeboarding. I had to hold on with just one hand, which made it very difficult, but I did it and I loved it!

The last couple of summers I refused to come to this place. I thought I would be too big of a burden on my friends and family. But I came back now that I was ready for it and I cannot wait to go back again.

The sight of a lake or any body of water used to bring tears to my eyes. Now it gives me a sense of pride in everything that I accomplished on the water.
